This cpu might drop again but I think it will be more $200 and no less.
look at the speeds, look at the performance... unless you REALLY need it, don't buy an intel go cheaper with an AMD... 95% of people don't need the intel chips but they think they do. you are just wasting your money.

Ah! It's an in store only deal and no store here in Omaha. Can't understand that. The 2 of us who live here both have computers.
Motherboards for this chip are still too expensive. Wait till 3rd or 4th quarter.

Stick with a nice speedy Core2 Duo rig and save yourself a lot of money. Then when the kinks are worked out with one or two gens of the i7, you can jump in on the cheap. No need to be on the cutting edge, unless all your cash is bulging your wallet.
the new dragon should push this price down.

Lots of room for overclocking, and yes I need them and not the crap hole AMD chip. I am one of the people who need a stable system so I go with Intel.
