The Ivy Bridge chips are supposed to be cheaper than their Sandy bridge counter parts.
They are at market value instead of MSRP.
Might want to wait a couple of months for the heat to die down then buy one or buy a sandy bridge.
From reviews, the NON-K series are probably worth getting ivy bridge, but for buyers of K series, it is suggested just to buy Sandy bridge unless you plan on using Dice or N2
