Ends today. Tiger Direct has the Intel SSDSA2MH160G2K5 X25-M 2.5" 160GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive SSD for $120 - $30 rebate [Exp 1/26] + $4 shipping = $94 shipped. Up to 250 MB/sec read and up to 100 MB/sec write speeds.
What is the DEAL with the SLOW SLOW Speeds of Intel's SSDs !?
Anyone know if Intel SSDs have some other not really seen advantage???
This specific drive is slow. But after having multiple drives, the Inetel ones 510 and 520 series were significantly better than every single drive from the other brands I had (Samsung, OCZ, Crucial). They were extremely stable, no freeze-ups, delays, etc. At this point I'd prefer Intel over any other brand even if it is $60 more expensive.
This is an old discontinued model replaced by the 330 series which was now replaced by the 335 series.
It's only sata2.
