Can usually find a USB 3.0 - Gigabit adapters for just $5 to $7 more at reputable sellers. In early November and December, Newegg had the Syba USB 3.0 - Gigabit: SY-ADA24029 for $18 free shipping; imagine that deal will happen again with gigabit ethernet becoming more common.
This one is a good brand but agree with #1 that it's priced roughly twice as high as it should be. Generic adapters that likely use the same chipset can be obtained for less than $3 with free shipping.
