Remember kids, you can add an external hard drive to a 360 and do the same stuff...

Its definitely not the same with xbox360.

You need to connect to the net to sign in to your profile just to access the codecs -how stupid. You have to turn it on go though menu wait and so on. Then xbox will not play many codecs that others can - not this particular Screnplay- like MKV. Its a lot of headache with 360. These media players just seem to turn on and play. Again not this model. The WDTV play many code that this one doesn't and the Popcorn Hour play more codecs that the WDTV doesn't.

Then the portable factor while the 360 is small its 10x bigger and heavier than these. Last but not least the power consumtion. Its more than 10x so if you watch lot of movies its add up quickly.

DVD players and these use : 10-20 watts
    Xbox360 : 125 watts HD : 150 watts
    PS3 : 175 watts HD: 185
