first!!!!!
Sooooo relieved that there aren't significant improvements (like with the 3G) that'll make you practically need to upgrade. There's also a quicker processor, better camera, etc., but they still are slowly feeding the upgrades and definitely saving some for the next version (see pending apple patents).
If you have a 3G running 2.2 or lower firmware and you want to upgrade for the $300, you'll actually make money in the upgrade with an ebay sale of the 3g (but lose the jailbreak option for the time being), otherwise pass.
So Apple selling their phone for regular price is a deal? Interesting. Very interesting.
Release date June 19th....refurbs available 20th or 21st? TIA
i wouldn't say a deal but is good news. i think the consensus is the iphone is the phone to beat, and it just got improved
I'm finally grabbing one.. if the frakking store would stop bombing out on me.
maybe next generation they'll upgrade the voice quality. talking on an iFone is like doing a crossword puzzle, lot of time filling in the blanks!
shame they didn't fix the biggest issue... you know, the one where it's bound to a crappy network.
Apple makes a sucker every day ...
Don't waste your time with this garbage. How can cut, copy, and paste be a new feature? It should have been around for a long time
#8, that is so true. then they have to make iPhone to support the t-mobile's funky 3G network!
Palm Pre or this?
Palm pre is better bang for the buck, but I still like Blackberry. You cannot beat a fully qwerty keyboard
Who's going to pay $700 retail for this thing?
only a deal for ATT customers!
The Palm Pre has a lot of cool features such as multi tasking, a great GPS thanks to Sprint, fast data, a better YouTube player, but it is laggy as hell, there are few apps and the music player interface is nowhere as good as the iPhone's iPod is. I own a Pre, just doing the 30 day trial and I am partially satisfied with it. The cover for the charger/sync cable is rather flimsy and I feel like it is going to break off if I pull too hard.
Ahh apple, they trickle out tiny upgrades and their fans still act like they aren't ripping them off.
Does this one come standard with cut and paste?
If they (Apple or Palm) would partner with Verizon I would be all over that!
Verizon is getting the Pre in 6 months and then probably crippling it.
