eCost.com has the refurbished iPod classic 80GB Digital Music/Video Player for $185 + $9 shipping = $194 shipped. This is the latest generation iPod with Cover Flow & other dubious improvements. It has an all-metal design, with 30hour(s) battery life in audio mode. Storage for up to 20,000 songs or up to 100 hours of video. [BizRate]

Overpriced fragile crap with a pretty user interface.
    OK, I'm in for 4.

N/S, just send me your cash instead. I'm sure I can waste $800 for you in a more productive fashion, and I'll work hard to make you as angry as you would be trying to deal with the mis-named eCost customer service.

Oh, and avoid eCost. They sell trash, and do NOT stand behind their product.

This would be a pretty OK deal if it wasn't eCost. As #2 suggests, they are a complete piece of crap company.

This player has an encrypted firmware so they may never port rockbox to it. I think you can buy refurb straight from apple for $20 more.

Better off buying a refurb from Apple with the year long warranty. Oh and ecost sucks.
