Price drop. Apple Store has the "world's smallest" iPod Shuffle 1GB (new, 2nd gen) for $49 + $4 shipping = $53 shipped. Available in 5 colors right now. "Now made of sleek, durable anodized aluminum, less than half the size of the original." [BizRate]

I've never heard of a price drop at the Apple Store.

OK, now do this with ALL of the Apple linup. When they figure out that people aren't willing to pay double for the same capability, Apple will gain market share.

i would rather have the sanDisk 2GB with 2GB microSD at buy.com for $40 (player) plus $15 (microSD w/adapter). And, ecost.com has a 4GB micro SD for $19 after rebate.

This is no deal compared to the creative Zen Micro Plus, which is roughly the same size with 2Gigs plus an LCD screen. And the Creative has drag-n-drop functionality for all music formats versus the Shuffle's dependence on iTunes and AAC format.

#8, I have like 2,500,000 songs on my iPod and not one of them is in AAC format, nor were any of them purchased from iTunes. What have you got to say about that? Huh? Huh? Yeah, that's right... NOTHING! *smirk*

So Apple now has their own personal record books? How many ways was the tie for World's most overpriced piece of Apple crap?

If you add the "AirPort Extreme 802.11n* Enabler for Mac" for $1.99, you'll get free shipping and save $2.

I don't see how they can claim they're the smallest in the world, I think Mobiblu is smaller than this width-wise
