I love the Roombas. However don't expect them to last 20 years like grandma's vacuums. Mine seem to last three years and I'm now on my third one in nine years. Thourgh cleaning, new batteries, just don't fix 'em. Anyway, just got a model 560 and it is quite an improvement over the previous.
Will clean the entire house on a charge, navigates over throw-rug heights--like 3/4", on and off tile floors, still goes under beds, furniture, and if it is near enough to its "base", it will dock and recharge itself. Great for us lazy kids. The timer function hasn't been tested. Note the above model is a higher level model than my 560 at a similar price. I do wish it could climb onto the couch and get that too...
