These aren't great. They will clean up small marks and dust and dirt and the such but this is in no way a replacement for actual mopping. If you have any larger, dried in spots, it will take 5-6 passes to get it clean, which won't happen. Refurbished means that the battery is too. My batter stopped lasting more than 5 minutes after about 2 months.. I wouldn't recommend this. Just buy a mop and bucket.

I've had a scooba for a couple of years now, and for smallish apartments it's great. They do tend to break and the batteries wear out though, so best to get an extended no-questions-asked warranty if you can. (Hammacher Schlemmer sells the scooba and offers a lifetime money-back or replacement guarantee, that's where I got mine from.)

I have one and use it solely for a 200sf office with tile floors. It does a really nice job, both sweeping and vacuuming the dust/dirt and actually mopping the tile. It did not work well on our wood floors, however, so it got banished to my tile office. I love it...beats mopping.
