If you're domestically challenged, I am, then very useful. It's an amazingly good vacuum. However I won't buy another iRobot product, the battery charger is crap.

I got two of these two or three years ago (this model--530) for my kids (grown). They love them. However, my daughter's had a problem going in circles. I found a bad sensor and bypassed it. Worked fine for 6 months. Now she reports a similar problem. Most likely the matching sensor on the other side.

iRobot doesn't sell parts so I'm going to have to get the replacements from Digikey.

I would have purchased this one for parts if I got to it before "sold out".

this works great in my nyc apartment. I have a cheaper model from last dec. the battery just started to die. It lasts about ten minutes now.

I purchased a refurbished unit similar to this one through Amazon a couple of years ago. It was crap. Went through three of them before one 'sort of' worked and then gave up. To their credit, iRobot customer service was very good, but the quality controls on the remanufactured units was terrible.
