Cleans under furniture, tables, and hard-to-reach places
I'd love to try this... have a lot of tile floor that could use a nice automaton to keep it clean!
My wife and I had this. It does a good job cleaning linoleum and wood floors. We got rid of it because it takes longer to prep the unit than it does to just grab a mop and bucket and mop manually.
How bad can it be? Empty the old stuff, fill it with water and soap and let'er rip... What else is there? I'd like to team this up with my Roomba.
#2, How long did it take for this thing to eventually clean a room?
#3, you have to clean out the filters, measure just the right amount of the special soap, clean the bristles and squeegee.
#4, it was pretty slow.
#5, you have to do the same thing to all floor cleaner, so this is pretty standard.
They claimed this machine do the sweeping and mopping at the same time!
Aslo note-It's recirtified, that means refurbished.
I also have this and it worked well for the first 4-5 times then it just had no end of problems. Either it doesn't let the water out, or it doesn't pick up the dirty water, or it just stops and leaks a big pool around it. Finally I gave up on it. I don't fully agree with #2 about the time thing, but I guess it could depend on how large your floors are. The only real issue I have with it, is it doesn't clean off things that are stuck on or really dried spills (or rubber shoe marks).
#4 the thing about the how long it takes is the whole point of how cool it is. You just press the button and walk away, who cares if it take 5 minutes or 45 minutes. Its time you aren't tied to doing anything with it. Same with the roomba.
I just got one of these and it works great so far. Cleaned my kitchen floor in 5-10 minutes and it uses an incredibly small amount of water. It felt really good to see all that dark black water pour out when I emptied the tank- i didn't know the floors were so dirty!
I have one and we love it. We have to mop every few months. Prob is the battery died and it doesn't last a full cycle now.
But I think it's worth it
I have a unit for over a year now (5900 model--1st generation-ie heavier and longer battery life than 2nd gen but not as long as 3rd gen). Prep time for setup is 5 minute to get the unit ready and quick floorspace cleanup. I clean brush/squeegee after every use ~10 minute, so all is ready for next use. It is great to turn it on, and leave to visit/do shopping/whatever, and come back to have everything clean. Unit runs for 45 minutes on full tank--you can regulate the length/time of run by controling how much cleaning solution you put in, as unit will only run as long as there is cleaning fluid available (other situation notwithstanding--battery charge/dirty water tank full, etc). Have not seen my mop since I bought this. Meant to be used often--do not let things get super dirty and expect this to wipe away all in one use. PM if you want more info--sorry for long post. #9 I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOUR CLEAN YOUR FLOORS IN 5-10 MINUTES you must have very small floors
You should wait for this to go on woot. They have it for $99 regularly.
