      this thing works great my aunt has it and since she has a cat it so good for it. but it makes loud sounds and you have to have a less then normal furniture room

      It's a good price for the product. Suction power is not that powerful, but almost nothing you need to do to clean you carpet. Some corners, however, require a bit manual extran cleaning as they are not reached well.

      I have not tried this iRobot product, but I do have a Roomba Vac and it works great. I think most of their products are pretty good.

      The iRobot stuff detects stairs and won't drive off, #6. I've got a lot of hardwood and I'd love to get one. Seems a little bit expensive though...

      I had the basic vac version and it kept getting stalled on basic carpet. worked ok on berber and hardwoods, but the small basket wasn't that great to keep up with the 2 cats and dog.

      I love my roomba vac for hardwood floors (I have a dog that sheds but not a lot, just enough to leave some dust bunnies for the roomba). I think it's time to get a scooba.
