I have this and it isn't worth the hassle if they gave them away for free. The ear loops fall off continuously.
Run don't walk away from this headset.
I have one of these and love it. The ear hook falls off in my pocket, but never falls off on my ear. If you have the ability to use stereo bluetooth, this headset can handle it and the sound quality is awesome. (even though for the $15 you do not get the second ear piece). But even on it's the difference in audio quality is incredible. Plus, you can start/pause the media player from the headset, and there is a oled readout on the headset with the caller ID when a call comes in. I actually have stocked up on these so I will have them for years.
@yatrg
Seriously? I have the BT stereo verston of this Jabra sent me extra earloops because they knew they fall off.
ROFLThe earloops fall off in my pocket and while I'm wearing them.
For stereo, you need to also buy the aux earbud. Had this for a while and enjoyed BT music while doing jobs around the house, but ashamed to wear in public. The ear loops ok if you are willing to get used to them, but pretty much suck.
Yep, the stereo headset makes you look like a nerdy Trekkie. And I still have no clue how the piece is suppose to fit in or on my ear.
don't you look like a trekkie with any headset?
Ear loops are definitely a hassle. I used crazy glue and it worked for a few months.
Still, this is my favorite head set. I liked it so much I bought 2 extra. You look like a total dork wearing it but the sound is great. Media controls are really handy when my blackberry stops playing sound after a call or Email. I just tap the button and play starts again. I also like the oversized volume control. Very easy to adjust. I love it so much that I am willing to put up with Jabra's crappy ear loop design.
The real value is in the second ear piece that brings stereo but this is a good deal if you already have that piece and need to reaplce main unit or you want a spare. Even without the 2nd ear piece it's nice to be able to play music in one ear discretely. I listen to the slacker radio comedy channel at work.
BTW, I'm an old, fat, bald dad. I will look like a dork no matter what I wear but you younger guys might not like this look: http://images.google.com/images?q=jabra+BT8010
I had issues with the earloops as well. Mine broke from constantly bending this way and that trying to find a comfortable adjustment. Complained to Jabra and they sent me 2 spare pairs free.
Other than that these are excellent phones, especially for music. I use them at my desk a lot. I won't wear these or any headset in public. A little too pretentious.
