On a serious note, I prefer noise-isolating earphones over noise cancelling ones. I find I can often pick up the not-quite-perfect noise cancellation effects, and it's very unpleasant. Noise isolation just works.
This is a great product at an even greater price. I picked up a pair of the J2's a few months ago for myself and other members of my family. We all love them. They are a huge step up from the earphones that came with my iPod. At $13.99 these are a steal!
