Amazon.com has the Joby GP1-0YEN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod Yellow for $22 with free shipping. Features universal 1/4-inch -20 screw digital camera link attachment.
At Microcenter the comparable product can be purchased for, get this $1. It is about 6" tall and very compact, but the exact same concept. I gave them out to coworkers for Christmas and they were thrilled. You do have to look for them, and often I've seen them with no indicated price. I bought some about 5 months ago and again at Christmas, so it is not even a sale price.
Not the same at all. The Gorillapod's legs can be wrapped around just about anything to position and hold your camera on a fence, fencepost, signpost, small tree, etc. for instance; The one from MicroCenter that #2 linked above is just a portable tripod with flexible legs -- not wrap-around legs.

Looks cool, but how stable is it? *smirk*
Gotta love wrap-around legs...
anybody tried a DSLR on this yet? I wouldn't want to take that risk
#6 - they have the DSLR version of the gorillapod. the one advertised here won't be able to take the weight of the SLR.
