Amazon.com has the Joby GP1-0YEN Gorillapod Flexible Tripod Yellow for $22 with free shipping. Features universal 1/4-inch -20 screw digital camera link attachment.
This is a misnomer because it is not a Tripod substitute. It lets to mount your P/S Camera and hang it off things like your chair or lamp. OfficeMax has them for $18.99 regular price. Case Logic Brand(but Same thing).
#5, if you look on the package for these things, it says pretty clearly that they also make an SLR version, as well as an SLR Zoom version. Get past your primary grade readers, and stop giggling every time you read, "See D i c k", and you'll notice these things.
Bought this a while back when Walmart.com had it for $10. It is only good for a very small P/S. And even then, wrapping it around something doesn't work all that well, as gravity tends to pull your camera to its lowest point. By the time you finish adjusting it, your camera subjects have wandered off in boredom.
For all you idjits who don't get it go to the Joby site and check out the different sizes. If the small one does not work for your device there are other choices.
Got one of these for $7 from Meritline. It's a no-brand version, but is identical to the Joby. I also have the Gorillapod zoom version -- very heavy duty, easily holds my dslr.
I heard these give good reach-arounds.
these are a waste of money.
If you want a small tripod search for ultrapod.
#1, for a good reach-around, you will pay in the end...
i have this. doesnt work w/ SLR cameras. look to the ultrapod as #3 suggested.
Buy this unit - if you need a new camera..
