One reliable anti-badguys solution I have used last two years. Got it shipped last night.

Got the wrong item (AV only) couple weeks ago but I decided to keep it since it only cost shipping AR (and rebate was also confirmed).

Frys + KIS = reliable solution + low cost

Why bothering with Kas rebates? It sucks...
Free Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 download out there if you don't mind. I got a couple of activate codes this morning.
    Here is one of them

I know it will be in blacklist soon once posted in public.

Between this and McAfee, I'll take this. McAfee slowed my laptop to a crawl. Kas doesn't do nearly the damage to my speed.

    #3 isn't it stealing?

All you need to do is mailing the rebate and you can avoid a crime. It's easy.

#4, between McAffee and anything else, I'll take anything else.

Kaspersky is the only AV suite that I would ever pay for, although I don't use it because there are free programs that do everything this suite does.

#5, is it really stealing if they're also giving it away for free? Pretty gray area there not even considering the copyright infringement isn't stealing, different words exist in our language to mean different things, though there are other good reasons like that there's no need to fiddle with potentially infected or future deactivated warez when you can get it FAR at retail.

As for "crime" though, most people think it far less "criminal" than going 5MPH over the speed limit. Speeding kills, copyright infringement doesn't.

#7, regarding speeding and its consequence, I agree with you. This, however, does not mean since people commit crimes, so can I. I also agree with you about the words. It's trapping.
I still remember cases when the courts ruled hundreds of thousand dollars fine for music downloaders. Man, these kids were so unfortunate and I am sure many of them did not know what were going on. I am sure their lawyers tried to get them out of there arguing about music/file sharing rights blah blah , but failed, eventually.
My point is all we need to do in order to avoid all the potential messes is investing couple bucks to get this thing now, and get the principal back in two months or so. It's a good and healthy investment. And it's guaranteed that I will not have to pay a dime to my attorney. Or, go with AVG free. It's safe.
