I'm not sure if they really pay the rebate. Read feedback on newegg before buy:
1. Cannot be configured by users on Windows; only global settings, and Non-Admin can change these settings
2. After five (!) months did not receive my rebate. Called rebate center three times, receipt acknowlwdes, took about a months to enry into system for processing, no relief in site.
They do. Over the past 4 years I have gotten so many of their products for free for all the workstations we have. They do take a while, but they have never failed to send the rebate.
I received rebates from Kaspersky for all claims so far. Their products are reliable. This is a very good deal.
I took the effort to create an account just to post my experience with Kasparsky. I waited 4~5 months and called them 3 times before they sent me the rebate check. I deposited the check. And you won't guess what happened. The bank told me the check was invalid since the bank account of that check has been closed. Now you know what kind of company it is.
Newegg upped the price. With promo codes and rebate it's free instead of them paying you.
#5 you should never wait that long to call regarding a rebate. I have had rebates left in a pocket that I didn't cash and when I tried to do so the accounts were closed so yes that does happen because they continuously open and close these rebate accounts. You are pointing to a major issue with rebates in general, but outside of a fall-through-crack issue with yours I have never heard Kaspersky having issues like this in general.
