These are from their made in China line, but better quality than your average generic Chinese knife. Think I'd go with the Tremor to get a G-10 handle instead of fiberglass, though the Compound also looks like it's G-10 even though listed as fiberglass.
For this amount- I will get Buck 285BK instead. - The blade itself is made in USA and I think pretty ok for it's price. But it is Drop Point 420HC not 8CR13MoV stainless-steel. Same life time warranty.

^ Ironically enough I own both that Buck and a similar Kershaw to these (Chill), don't like the buck as much for a few reasons.
1) Plastic handle, plus it's ribbed inside to reduce weight and the ribbing builds up gunk that's near impossible to clean out (also because of #2)
2) Riveted together, you can't strip and clean it or adjust blade tightness.
3) I prefer flippers over thumb stud opening. Like the lockback on the buck better than liner lock but I wouldn't call any of these heavy duty knives so the locking mechanism isn't crucial to me.
4) The 8CR13MoV seems to be a superior steel. Easier to put a good edge on and seems to retain the edge just as long.
Downside vs the Buck is that although the slim handles on the Kershaws with G-10 create less of a bulge in your pocket, they also provide a less contoured grip. This is another issue I'd feel was more relevant if they were intended to be heavier duty knives but unless it were a very expensive /high end folder I'd generally want a fixed blade for heavy duty cutting tasks.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Buck Bantam line is worth the money too, else I wouldn't have bought one. Someday I may break down and put mine through the dishwasher a cycle or two to see if that'll get the gunk out of the handle.

Have you tried going at it with a toothbrush?
^ Slot is narrower than a toothbrush head. Guess I could try to grind down the head of the brush and cut the bristles shorter or poke a pipe cleaner wire in there or shake it around in a bucket of detergent solution and sand, or an ultrasonic cleaner, but any of these options seems tedious for an $18 knife I hardly use because I don't EDC with me, because if/when I have a dirty job to do it cruds up.
Thought about drilling out the rivets, pouring in some thin epoxy to fill the little nooks and crannies making the handle a solid piece then buying some proper screws to reassemble it, but again it's only an $18 knife... could also drill tiny holes from the outside and/or go in through the slot to squirt in the epoxy with a syringe w/o removing the rivets but that's still too tedious for the outcome.
