These are great cheap knives. Very sharp with a decent lock. Just don't expect it to take or hold an edge.
The hard steel makes it difficult to sharpen well yourself, but Kershaw has a lifetime sharpening policy on all their knives. You pay to ship it back, they sharpen it (including regrinding the serrated edge) and they pay to ship it to you.
Last knife took 3-4 weeks to get back, but came home like new.

This knife is made from AUS 6 which is comparable to 440A. It's ok, not too hard to sharpen but doesn't retain an edge all that well either.
Pay shipping every time I want my knives sharpened? lol, it's not THAT difficult, and only a $20 knife.
