Expensive due to the excessive packaging that heads off to the landfill. Great for future anthropologists to see how we abused the planet.
Full disclosure, I use one at work... Sad

LOL Kstoney! I appreciate the honesty. I personally love the coffee made with these. In a lobby environment, like my business, the one or two pods a day going to the landfill is better than 3 pots of unused coffee, and the resulting grounds and filter.

^ Actually coffee grounds in a landfill are good for the environment. Coffee grounds decompose to fertilize a dump so plant, then later animal, life can restore it to a natural state over time (except for all those plastic coffee makers we keep buying and tossing out which will be there for 1000 years).

Otherwise, keep the grounds for your own garden use.

I don't disagree with reusing the coffee grounds. In fact, I am going to try to do that at home.
I didn't specifically say it, but it's the plastic and aluminium foil that the grounds are encapsulated in that are bad.

^ They're great for acid loving crop plants like berries, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, etc.
