Download the demo and try it out, but I thought it was pretty lame (inventory interface in particular was crap)
I've played Amalur for about 10 hours now. Bought it based on the glowing review on IGN. The game is OK, but the camera angle adjustment is super-annoying (worse than fable), and the combat system sucks. I wouldn't spend more than $30 on it.
