Buy.com has the Kingston 1GB DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $12 with free shipping. If people call you stubby, you'll know why (there may be other reasons). [BizRate]

These drives are great for storing your data... at least 1 GB worth!

Gotta love Ben's sense of humor. $2 AGC for this ain't too bad, but I still recommend the 4GB Kingston for $15 AGC.

I would consider it, if it wasn't baby blue. Black, gray or even white would be better.

Does it have a cover or is the connector always exposed?

This is too small for me. One can easilty lose this if carrying it around in your pocket.

You're right, #14, they should make flash drives at least the size of a wallet. Otherwise consumers will probably lose it. Fhag.

#10, the whole USB drive (connector and the white stuff at the back) will slide backward allowing the cover (blue plastic) to cover the connector.

I had one of these for a while but they are too easy to lose. I'm sticking with the standard sized usb drives from now on.

That Kingston you linked is only $15 if you are a new Google user, yes I know you can create a new account, but additionally the Kingston transfer rate is really slow. Anyone know the transfer speed for this one? A slight premium for the size but not too bad.

I wouldn't pay the premium for the small size on this, you can definately get cheaper 1 gb sticks and more size for $12.
