kingston had it for $11 last sunday. but $15 is still not a bad deal, especially don't need MIR.

Buy.com has a Kingston 512MB for free after a $27 rebate. Free shipping too. Was surprised I didn't see it anywhere on this site.

Nevermind, I'm an ass. They have a USB drive for that. Thought this was the 1GB version of that. Reading FTW.

#2, there are two versions. One is manufactured in Japan, the other is manufactured in Taiwan. The Japan one is very good, and the Taiwan one is very poor. I have both...too lazy to do a speed test, but it is at least 3x difference.

What you will get from buy.com probably depends on your luck...

i overclocked mine to 200x read/write, except the heat generated burned my cell phone, so I put my cell phone in the fridge. Now the battery life is twice as long. WHAT A DEAL!!!

#6 is correct. I've been fortunate to receive two from buy.com that were manufactured in Japan. However, I have heard that people got Taiwanese manufactured from buy.com. If you get the Japanese ones from kingston.com then you're in good shape.

I use mine for my Nintendo DS and it works great. People tell me that when using the Taiwanese card they get slowdowns in games and homebrew apps.

Personally, I'd rather find it for about $35 or less B&M and KNOW it's a Japanese card then take my chances.
