I got this for $8 a year ago. It's tiny enough to fit unnoticed on your keychain. It has come in handy several times.

What happened to $1 a Gig? It seems like these things are going up in price.

Agreed, why are the prices climbing on these? I like the usb adapter actually, I have one, but I'm not interested in paying a premium for one. Prior to Christmas Newegg had the 4Gb on sale for less than this.

But hey, I don't care about how much you paid for it last year nor how much you think it will cost next month. Face it, right now it's a deal (especially with the reader). Unless you can time travel, compares prices to right now, not just whenever.

And ThoreauHD, go back to Walden Pond HD because these cost $3 more there (just checked). Make sure you include the reader the next time you price compare. Sheesh.
