When it's this price with no rebate, I'll grab one for my laptop.

That Transcend one below from Amazon is 128G and rated faster speed for just $5 more. I can't get many reviews on it, but it's essentially the same controller.

If it has the same controller and same # of flash chips, (all else being equal), a higher sequential speed rating usually means they traded IOPS to get there. Which is better depends on the use, for running an OS I'd rather have higher IOPS.

@ dave_c: how about for a scratch disk? Higher read/write transfer speeds, or more IOPS?

I'm just wondering what, in general, would be best for a Photoshop/video editing scratch disk? Something with higher read/write transfer speeds, or more IOPS? I'm thinking read/write speeds, but I want to be sure.

^ Yes read & write speed will be more important.
