Anybody know of a better deal than this on this mixer?
This seems like a pretty good price. These mixers are awesome
for anyone who does a significant amount of cooking... and this
is the heavy-duty model in a line of already heavy-duty products.
Get this for my mom, and she'll love you forever.
This is actually a very good price. I don't think I've seen these things going for below $250. I agree with #2 - she will love you forever.
I've seen the Artisan series for < $200, but this one is the bigger & beefier model. IMO the Artisan series is large enough for home usage, and it's pretty heavy so the larger 600 Series may be difficult to move around for ladies.
Been looking at the 5qt at Bed Bath and Beyond for 299.00. This is a great price, If red is your color as is my wife's, you can nab it for just $30.00 more
have one of these and it cannot be beat. tackles everything you can throw at it.
We love this mixer. Well worth the money to get the upgraded version. We went through 2 of the artisan series in 4 years (we use them alot) but this one has gone about 4 so far without problems.
The 5qt version was going for just under $200 on BF, so if the rebate works out, this is a great deal.
This is a very good price for this mixer.
This is the mixer they were selling for $69 on that Amazon holiday page...I think they had a 500 of them at this price. Now is a good time to check eBay since probably most of the mixers will now be appearing there.
I've got one of these I paid $300.00 for and I thought that was a good deal. This is a mixer you can pass down to your kids.
Kitchenaid is the bomb. Honey get in the kitchen and make me some pie!
That is a great price for that mixer. The Artisan is usually at $250 at stores and this is the commercial version. We got an Artisan via pre-order at Lowes last year for $150 and that's a smokin' deal. That mixer will last and last and last and will take daily abuse like nothing.
This thing is a tank. I'm glad they haven't messed with the design much..bacon works just the way it is.
KitchenAid professional mixers are crazy good. My grandmother has had her older model for at least 12 years and it's only needed a replacement gear from KitchenAid that cost about $5 shipped. She sells baked goods so she uses it probably once a day or so.
Wow, that's a good deal. I'd be all over this if I didn't already have a Kitchenaid.
It's nice to see that the occasional product is still well-made and long-lived.
We also have a KitchenAid stand mixer that has been not only reliable but one of our most used appliances. The price for this extra-large model seems really good, although, were I in the market for one, I'd want to read some reviews to see how it compared to the 4.5- and 5-quart versions.
i got ripped.
they had a $20 MIR on amazon a week or two ago on the 5-Quart mixer
bringing it down to $209.99, which had a 320-Watt motor. I'd spend the extra $10 to get this one.
This is a great deal, the wattage on this is enough to cover anything you could dream of throwing at it. I have one that comes in just under this one, and I laugh at the recipes that say "mix in flour; finish by hand if necessary"... because the mixor doesn't seem to notice how thick the mix is. Heck of a mixer.
Only thing to note is that these mixers do produce a metal gear-y sound. At first I thought mine had a problem, but after calling in about it and hearing others, I realized that's just how these mixers sound.
