450 is way too much for these. I bought the quintet III for $249 on ebay brand new, you cant tell the difference between the two.

#1, where did you get these for 299? These normally go for about 800. I bought them last year in woot for $400 and that was a steal.
#2, the quintet III are less powerful than these. good for a small room. But for a bigger room these will give you a better sound at higher volumes.
These are among the best speakers you can get at this price. If you are thinking about buying this, go online and read all the reviews and you will see that these match in sound and quality to speaker systems that costs $1000 more.

This is "B-stock". See the description at Vann's website. Brand new one is $500 with a free Klipsch subwoofer.

These are decent speakers for a small to medium sized room and a step up from the smaller Quintet IIIs. They will require a subwoofer and that's going to set you back another $300-500 for a decent one. I find Klipsh speakers a tiny bit fatiguing at high volume but they still sound good.

This isnt much of a deal, too expensive. My klipsch speakers died a few months ago, but I still believe they make the best PC speakers.

As smilejoe said, they have the brand new stock for ONLY $50 more and you get a 200watt powered subwolfer ($390 reg price) for FREE. Sell it to me for $100 and then you save $50 over the "B" stock price. ;>)

lol. look at the $500 set one and the two available packages. You can get the speaker set plus the sub for FREE, or get the speaker set, the sub,and a yamaha 665 for 700 DOLLARS MORE. thats 200 over what they are just selling the receiver for.
