Are these better or worse than the comparable Bose speaker product? Anybody have first hand experience with these?
I use these as my rear speakers, they're fine. Better than Bose? No idea, but I can hear what I need to hear.
Had them both. Blowse is overated, overpriced and mediocre at best. Klipsch is always a better choice than Blowse.
Search "Why Bose Sucks" on Google and you will see why you need to stay away from Bose. So many better choices out there in audio.
If money is tight then buy a good used speaker off of Audiogon or some other audio forum. There are plenty out there and you can get great deals on well cared for systems. Polkdirect on Ebay also offers good deals.
Agree with #3. Bose is to sound what Applebees is to food.. artificial.
most people don't know would just go for bose because of its popularity, but they're mediocre speakers in terms of sound quality, not to mention its over prize. There're much better speakers out there, even the cheap polk speakers sound better than most bose speakers.
