Lowes has the Kobalt 85190 19-Piece Metric Mechanics Tool Set for $20 with free in-store pickup or $6 shipping to home. Features chrome vanadium steel, 16 assorted sockets and a 72 tooth ratched with 5 degrees of arc swing.
^ How do you manage to bend a ratchet set before it had either stripped the gear or pawl, or rounded off the head on the fastener? These may not be snap-on but they're decent for $20
They had a deal for something like 15 pliers and cutters a while back. Some of the pliers were OK but others didn't have any serations on the jaws so things slip out easily. Some of the cutters had misaligned jaws. The edges didn't line up. If you tried to cut a string it would shred it rather than cut through. I ended up keeping about half the items and sold the rest at a garage sale.
^ I see that a lot too with budget grade tools, I always inspect pliers at the store before purchasing the same set I inspected. Smooth jawed pliers can come in handy though when you need a non-marring tool for the job for cosmetic reasons.
In that case it also helps to slightly grind away the edges of the jaws so there is not a sharp 90' angle to them, then sand the ground edge to remove burrs and rough spots.
Kobalt stuff bends like overcooked macaroni

Kobalt pliers are weak, but sockets are great. I have this set and like it, and a fine tooth ratchet is fantastic for tight spots.

This is a good set but excludes size 11.
If you got this set, and the sae set, you would spend $40; which is the price of this set normally.
