I purchased a V550 about a year and a half ago and I love it. I actually managed to send it through the washing machine in a jeans pocket and the camera still works like new. I will forever buy Kodak.

#1... Kodak is fast approching HISTORY! Please choose and look at the reviews of the new cam's. I bought the F3 Fuji(?) for my dau and sol for there trip to Paris,,,France last spring and it's pictures are fantastic. Don't look at price, look at results. CCD and wide DR. The Fuji has one of the best now, could change next week! I'm a retired Pro-photo'r.

I got the v803 (same thing as this one only less megapixels) and the reviews I read hold true. The startup time is one drawback - it's just not as fast as other cameras, but it's only like 3 seconds or so. The camera feels and probably is more durable than others, and the viewscreen is very large. Another positive is that it is extremely easy to use in terms of selecting which option you want to be using the camera in. If you are familiar with Canon Powershot, there's that wheel on top that you have to spin in order to choose what you want. It can get pretty confusing. This one describes onscreen what each option is, and it's a very interesting way they have designed the options screen - they've minimized the number of buttons the camera has by doing this.

Bought a V530 a year ago for my gf, and she loves it still. I did the research on cams in the 200 price range; it was btw canon powershot, kodak, and casio exilim. For a point and shoot camera, I am continually impressed with the photo quality under multiple lighting conditions. Considering the upgrade in megapixs and other features for the same price, you can't go wrong #1.
