great price, but this is bulky. Go check it out at the store as I did.
Great Camera!!!
bulky. Not practical at all.
Keep looking !
I love the camera. Yes... it's true that it is big yet totally worth it because of the image quality. I love it!
don't buy a kodak, stick with canon or nikon.
Wow, that's a lot of pixels per second. Must chew through the memory like candy! I hope it's SDHC-capable... *checks* Yup! Sweeeet. And it's stabilized. I'm definitely gonna check this out, though I've kinda been leaning in the direction of that Casio that does 1000fps video. For shooting guns while shooting cameras, framerate is king.
Great camera for the size/pricepoint. It's smaller than the pics look, but the grip is bigger because you can use AA's (lithium). Has manual settings and a decent 5x lens with 720p video.
Go with another brand.
How is this compared with a Sony DSC-W80 and a Canon A720is?
If you're talking about HD then there's no comparison. This camera rock. Its small but not sub-compact-its bigger lens help picture quality. Canon only let you do 640x480 @ 15 frame per second-I don't know how long it let you do it.
It support HC but only allow 29 minutes video on one card. Think of it as a mini-dv tape. I got 2 4Gb and an 8GB so it works great for me. This eats about 100MB per minute. YEP all 30 frames per second in HD (1280x720 or 720p HD). My class 4 SDHC card has no problem with it. Quicktime has trouble play these movies on my computer-It Quicktime problem b/c my computer can handle HD/VC1.
If you talking about picture quality this thing still rock. I took a few outside pictures (cloudy-no sun) and they came out excellent-my last camera was a few generations back and these picture outclass them. Panoramic is cool you can stick 3 pictures together
If you talk about bundle then this suck. Its only include a regular battery no charger no dock no video out cable no .....
I agreed with #6. Get a Canon Powershot SX10IS (20x Optical) or Nikon P80 (18x Optical) if you are looking for a superzoom lens.
This camera is not very big at all and takes great pics--easy to use...this makes a great gift. Kodak's V series and Z series cameras are great. Obviously, if you want a professional camera then look at a D-SLR and plan on spending at least $300. Definitely ignore the comments from #3, 4, and #6. Were they able to recommend a comparable Canon or Nikon at this price?
You can buy rechargeable battery kits for $15-20. This camera has a good form factor and is easy to hold and use.
