    these make a grinding noise when it is trying to focus. It sounds odd, butt somebody else may be able to put up with it. Go to a store to check for yourself.

    The body also feels kinda flimsy, like it will break easily. I looked at this model when I was shopping around and I decided to go with the Canon S5 IS instead. The Canon has a sturdier feel and better button layout in my opinion. Only downside is the Canon is over $100 more than this so bear that in mind.

    Liked #1 said, best idea is to go to a store and check it out before you buy.

    #1 is right on...my Easyshare 3.1 stunk. Made that freakin' noise at weddings. Nice quiet church, and all of a sudden "click whir whir GRIND GRIND" as it was trying to focus and take the picture. embarassing. The Canon A710 IS is below $200 now I think. Less optical zoom, but more than makes up for it in other ways. Kodak should stick with photo paper...
