    The Appalachian Trail goes through my town, so I'll be on the lookout for people using these poles. I'm sure to see lots of them - not!

    I can tell you from experience that these are useful when climbing Mount. Doom through way of the Plain of Rohan in Middle Earth. How I miss the Shire...
