It wasn't on back-order til 10,000 people put in an order for it at this unbelievably low price - which was a typo!
I grabbed one then another for parts and toner when other were spinning doubt I was reading praise from real owners like #17 says toss it if your not pleased or toss it on ebay anyhow I never got a letter saying backorder so I think I am good to go. THANKS BEN! (actually bacon.com) but Bens spinners helped NOT!

I would understand it if they said, "Ooops, due to heavy demand that our website could not keep up with, we took your order when we had no stock left in inventory."

Unfortunately, the orders came into the Adorama website while the offices were closed on Friday afternoon and Saturday.
The 'back-order' emails are sent out by an automated system, as soon as stocks are depleted.
It was only when Adorama staff members returned to the office on Sunday morning that the tech team could see what had taken place, and were able to take immediate action to remove the mis-priced items, and to send a correctly worded email to each person who had placed an order.
The Adorama management Team regrets most sincerely that it was necessary to inform customers that these items were incorrectly priced on the website, and as you can imagine many thousands of orders were received - at a time when the offices were actually closed for the weekend so nobody was aware of this issue until Sunday morning.
It is appreciated that many people may be disappointed; however, it is hoped that all customers who were affected by this pricing error will understand that this was a genuine mistake, and accept this deep apology that it would not be possible to accept orders at the previously published incorrect price.
While every effort is made to try and ensure that all prices on the Adorama website are accurate, with the thousands of items available pricing errors may occur, (please see the terms and conditions), and everybody's understanding is received with gratitude.
