Ive never had any problems with kworld products in the past
i have a friend that uses an inexpensive kworld capture card for capturing video from his camcorder and says it works great.

So this thing essentially "upgrades" your 22" LCD computer monitor into a 22" LCD Monitor +remote control with component video input/s-video input/composite video input? No QAM or NTSC/ATSC tuner? I can't tell if this thing accepts an RG-45 coax cable.

At least the rebate (which you'll never receive) is only $15 this time.

I think it does have an NTSC tuner, but these days it's inexusable not to include an ATSC tuner, given that NTSC transmissions will stop in 2009.

I do have two TVBOX NTSC tuners, both older than this. The first one had to be RMA'd twice before we figured out it was a defective power brick (they didn't want that returned). And when we finally got it working, it worked for about a year and then died. However, before then, I bought a newer generation for a 21" CRT monitor that I was no longer using -- it's a Sony F500 and was very expensive, and I didn't want to just take it to goodwill so with the TV box it serves our guestroom. That TVBOX is working fine and provides a decent picture. Still no ATSC or QAM, though.

Even on the Kworld website, not clear that it has any tuner, except for the picture showing it has a coaxial antenna input, so you might guess that is for a tuner. Without ATSC, this is trash.

Never buy anything KWorld ever. It's probably decent if you don't have to RMA it... but it's down hill from there if you do. Their customer support is by the worst of any company I've ever dealt with. I had the same broken TV tuner returned to me that I RMA'd.

Also, typically their TV tuners don't work if you have any digital data on your lines.
