Newegg has the KWORLD ATSC TV Stick UB435-Q USB 2.0 Interface for $28 with free shipping. Supports up to 1920 x 1080i (HDTV Video Output) and Dolby Digital AC3 Audio Output.
I've got an ATSC 120 from kworld and I'm not terribly pleased with it:
I've had to re-install drivers multiple times for both XP and Vista systems, the remote doesn't work properly with Media Center (stop doesn't do anything and there wasn't an easy way to remap the something else to act like "stop") and the bundled software is kind of iffy too.
At the moment, it's not working againd and I'm looking to replace my card, but I'm definitely steering clear of this.
I have been using older version of Kword stick for HD TV on Windows XP. It works, was able to watch and record HD shows. Hardware looks OK' for about 2 years but software, 3.0 Arcsoft Media Center, gave me several blue death screens when I watched and recorded the same channel. But if recordinmg only or watching only - works fine. I would not recommend it for XP.
who here has anything from kworld? can we trust that brand? does the k stand krap?
From the reviews on Newegg it sounds like this little piece of crapola sucks on hot ice. Buyer Beware: Use at your own risk...
