      Probably as useless as #3.

I have 2 projection clocks. This one isn't very good. The laser is very dim. You can only see it in very dark rooms. The clock is not backlit.

I recommend the JWIN brand projection clock. I got it for $15 at a local electronics store in Florida called "Brandsmart" but i have seen it advertised here.

Yes projection clock is a novelty but good if you wake up many times thruout the night and want to know what time it is.

But in that case u should seek treatment for Insomnia. Try Velerian Root tea.

I echo #4's experience. I have mine on top of the headboard and even then it seems rather dim. If I had it on the nightstand, I think it would be too dim to see in a completely dark room. (see inverse square law)

A study was conducted where it was proven that the radiation emitted from these alarm clocks exceeds safety levels.

Not sure, but I think this is the model that requires an additional (not included) power adapter to have the projection on continuous display. The whole advantage to the projection is that you can briefly wake up and see what time it is without having to roll over and look at the clock. Having to push the button to see what time it is seems counter intuitive.
