This is a very good charger. Read NLee's review of batteries and battery charges at Amazon.

If your only going to have one this is it. A set of batteries is only as good as the weakest one. Makes making matched sets easy. The conditioning function works well. Not the most portable so I have the one that came with the Eneloops for travel. Great Christmas present.

Buy it if you have devices that use AA's.

Or AAAs. And if you have the eneloop C and D adapters you don't need anything else.

Probably the best battery charger on the planet. Get this and a bunch of Eneloops and you won't need anything else.

Unit has been good, but very hard/expensive to find replacement power supply adapter which the blade broke off on me. Out of warranty. Wondering if I should try Maha next?

#6, I would open the power supply and solder a power cord onto the terminals where the blades connect.
