how are you going to dump the team that did everything they could to draft you straight from high school and your hometown?

and then to do it on national television...

what would have been heroic, would to have announced that he was going to stay, and that he would bring a championship to his hometown NO MATTER WHAT. that would have truly been heroic...

#3 + #5 I agree with you. That stunt was truly shameful.

#8 LeBron realized he's not Michael Jordan. Jordan would never have jumped ship and team up with Larry Bird or Magic Johnson just to win a championship. A great player make mediocre players around him better and win championship. Lebron needs Wades and Bosh to have a shot winning a championship.

I thought Lebron said he was the "ringleader" in that Larry King interview. Guess he's just the follower now. Only peopler that respect him now are bandwagon Miami fans.

#10 Miami fans celebrate over the news. But I seriously doubt Miami fans respect him.

I guess when Cleveland fans go to the rest room now instead of taking a "Modell" they can take a "Lebron".

#12 I doubt either LBJ or Bosh care about that right now, they just want to have a nice ring before parting ways. Just like Boston's big 3. Well I don't blame them for wanting a ring before they got no more chances to get one like AI, Charles, Webber, Miller etc probably all secretly thinking they should have done the same earlier in their career to get da ring.

I don't blame him, I'd rather live in Miami than Cleveland. It's just a job, everyone needs to get over it. Plus printing all those new shirts and stuff creates jobs. Smile

Some people need to realize the modern era NBA is profoundly a "me me me" sport so LeBron acted accordingly. I'm surprised he didn't pull the God card and say, "God told me to go to Miami", like Reggie White did in the 90s when he ditched the Eagles for the Packers.

#14 AI, Sir Charles, Webber and Miller are not in the same class as Lebron. I thought Lebron can prove himself to be greater than Jordan. But he just admits he's not. Kobe proved that he doesn't need Shaq to win championships. Right now I'd rate Kobe a lot higher than Lebron.

stop hatin! what would you do if you were in his shoes?

stay for extra 30 mil and be called money hungry or leave and have a real chance to win a championship.

He should have burned the Cleveland river last night after he sh+t all over the city. Good for Dan Gilbert for calling him out, he'll never be considered one of the all time greats now. Jordan, Bird, Magic, Isaiah all are better competitors.
