#22 You have to evaluate the situation. He's in a lose-lose situation going to Miami. If he wins championships, people will not give him the full credit because Wade won one and Lebron was just tagging along. If for some reasons he fails to win a championship in Miami, then people will understand why he couldn't win one in Cleveland. I guess missing a college degree will do that to a person.
This is not baseball where an Albert Pujols can turn a ball club around. A single great player can turn a basketball team around. He could have gone to the last place teams like Nets or Knicks, take more money, and propel them to playoff instantly. If he's Michael Jordan caliber then he should have no trouble winning a championship there too. But now we will never know.
How much less did he really take? Flo-rida has no state income tax. No one would have faulted him for taking more to stay in Cleveland, his hometown (sort of), and bring a championship there. That he had to team-up with a guy who's already won one tells me he knows he's not up to the task.
