PC games are dead
Spoken like a true non-gamer.
Anyway, great price for the game.
#1 PC Games will not die anytime soon... if anything console games will die before PC. Square-Enix's head honcho thinks the same way.
#2 exactly... this is the second best deal I have seen for l4d2 PC. Steam had the 4 pack for $28/person during black friday time.
I would agree with #1 had Microsoft actually put a mouse on the Xbox 360. Consoles are just much cheaper from a fabrication, longevity and support standpoint.
But since Microsoft decided to hose consoles without a mouse, out of fear of losing PC gaming, the PC gaming platform continues. We've actually regressed in first-person-shooters because of the lack of precision aiming.
Case-in-point: Elder Scrolls III (localized damage) v. Elder Scrolls IV (generalized damage, designed for consoles, and then ported to the PC)
#4 spoken like a true gamer. i might need to buy this...
Great game. I'm hoping some more Campaigns are in the works.
Arena Of The Dead 2 is a good 3rd party addon. Don't pay over $30 for this game. $50 is insane. No you don't have to pay a monthly fee to play online.
The cost of PC's + the cost to make a PC game worthy is the problem. The never ending hardware requirements being increased doesn't help either do due the added cost. The only time a hardware cost is involved with a console is when a whole new generation is released.
i have lived in the southeastern US all my life and have never actually seen a mutant zombie. Hey...what is that...Ahhhh!
this was definitely worth $30, the campaigns seem kinda long, although they take the same time wise, perhaps my patience has decreased due to the increased number of poor players?
Disagree with #1. WoW, Diablo III, and Starcraft II, can't play those on a console.
You guys don't get it, you try to equate the need for better hardware against being stuck with a fixed console that can't play progressively better evolved games.
Further, the cost is pretty low on a PC. Any average performance system with a $150 video card added is only a $150 extra expense, what kind of console can you get for $150? Even if you could get a console for $150, it's already lower performance than today's $150 video cards.
Consoles are good for two things, giving younger kids a chance to play games without having to deal with (what to them might be) complexities of a PC, and having a smaller streamlined way to game in the living room on the TV so your computer is free to otherwise use.
yea, and download all your pc games for free!
(not to mention fps and detail w/pc crushes consoles)
How about at OS on the game disc. Pop the disc in & wolla your game is loaded! I know what you mean #10 on dealing with younger kids PC issues.
got for $33 via a 4 pack, so solo for $30 is pretty good.
good game, too.
