      Just bought one on ebay, sans stylus, for 230 shipped. But this one gave me the idea. I doubt I'll even use xp tablet edition, but I like being able to close the thing up and still see the screen.

      Isn't worthwhile IMO. Upgrading it to get decent performance out of it are going to be expensive since the parts are obsolete and inventories are very low.

      Isn't worthwhile IMO. Upgrading it to get decent performance out of it is going to be expensive since the parts are obsolete and inventories are very low. The harddrive is what killed it for me. I think it's a PATA, so your SSD options are limited.

      you're right, it is a pata, and a 1.8" drive at that, so you have almost no good options for hdd replacement.


      I'll re-iterate a warning i made in the past, that this is wicked slow, even with more ram and a fresh install of xp tablet edition, it's unbearably slow, to me at least.

      Save your money, and look on Craigslist for a Toshiba M400 or better, they should be around the same price and you can haggle too.
