Anyone have any experience with this thing? I have a toshiba m4 tablet that is LOUD/hot and ... well ... I hate it. I was thinking this might be a suitable replacement.

      Looking at this review: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2362
I found a couple things I can't live with about this laptop. There is no touchpad and it uses the smaller 1.8" HDDs (slower, smaller capacities and a lot more expensive to upgrade). Not to say it's not a good netbook alternative for someone else who could use a tablet PC.

I have one of these , hard drive died twice and is expensive to replace, it also runs like very slow and hot you are better off with another tablet. I am now using it as an under cabinet TV streaming a Slingbox to it so at least it has a use.

I've owned both. The X41T uses a 1.8" hard drive with the ide connector on the long side of the hard drive which is not industry standard. These are 4200 RPM drives, are slow and expensive to upgrade. The largest capacity is 60 gb. You can get SSD versions of this drive but be prepared to pay and pay and pay....

The previous commenters have it right: the X41 is nice but is slow and runs hot. However, it's pretty light.

I now own an X61 tablet. It's been my favorite Thinkpad. Look for the 1400x1050 screen. This is the high resolution, ultrabright screen. It's hard to find but worth it.

I hate touchpads and am glad these machines don't come with one.
