I own this and a Nexus 7. If you have to make a choice, go with a Nexus 7. This device worked fine out the box with Gingerbread (v34), but when it updated to Ice Cream Sandwich, it was bugged (it's well documented).
With the ICS update, the device looked/worked nicely, but it also thinks it's a cell phone and constantly searches for a cell tower. There's no way to disable it, regardless of what information you find on the web that says otherwise. Lenovo hasn't bothered to fix it. I'm waiting for a good Jelly Bean update to come out. In the meantime, I downgraded it back to Gingerbread.
For $150, it's a nice droid tablet, but if you have the extra $100, get the Nexus 7. The N7 has a better screen, CPU, and support.
