An amazing price for a good tablet; surprised to see tablet at such prices when they have not been released for that long.

the're coming out with new models. I got this same price from buy.com 2-weeks back and ended up returning it. It's only an average tablet at best.

I've heard that the Lenovo has a crappy screen. Is that true?

Friend of mine recently bought a Lenovo tablet and he loves it...

Not sure why, but Staples shows the discount, but when you add to cart, it is full price of $399.99... May have to buy in store or call customer service...

Try it again if you want one. I Added it to cart and it it was still 279.99. Maybe your browser is acting up. Clear the cache and spend away!!

I bought one of these on black friday. It ran pretty well after upgrading to 321. The screen is not that great but acceptable. My biggest problem was the wifi reception. It was simply awful. 1 or 2 bars while sitting 15 ft away from a wireless n router. I've returned it as defective. It might have been this particular unit or it could be a design flaw in the unit as a whole. Also the customization of Android has limited the availibility of apps availible to it. Like it would not support the GTA 3 re-release. I'm buying the Transformer Prime as soon as it is released. If manufacturers would just stop customizing android we would all be a lot better off.

On another site they recommend opening a chat session with their customer service and they will apply discount coupon after you order.

This tablet is the best Android tablet out in my opinion.
Bought it months back for $350 and its such a good tablet and I dont mind paying that price again.
      Lenovo makes great sturdy hardware.
If you want a long lasting tablet get this one otherwise save a $100 on the cheapo ones but they are more likely to break.

I agree... its hard to know which tablet is really the best. Maybe they should give you a trial period for each one Smile

I'm so scared of getting a tablet I don't like I've just ended up being paralyzed with my decision

This is the best tablet and THE STAPLES DEAL HAS NOT EXPIRED. You have to find a local store that sells them. Staples is selling the one with the ridge rubber black back which I like the best. Office Depot has the Lenovo cases for $30, or go to the Lenovo site for accessories.

And definately do the updates first thing. Go to the settings page; the link on the home page looks like equalizer bars in a music app (go figure). Go the the 'about' section, 'updates' and download the updates. It shows a download icon in the bottom right corner to show it is updating. You'll have to go through several restarts but keep going back to update until it says you can't update anymore and you are done.

It comes with 30 apps pre-installed which I loved since I'm new to the app world. I haven't put the thing down since I got it. Sign in to the Android market and make sure to disable "in app" purchasing. Get the Amazon app too because Amazon gives away a free app a day! You'll need to give them a credit card number though.
