Can't seem to configure it with more than 512MB of RAM. Sorry guys, I'm not buying a new machine that's already useless.
bought one. good!
The Asus eee PC 1000H 160 is a better buy at $350 shipped from ZZF. 160GB, 1GB, "n" wifi.
Sorry, make that $450.
Why buy this when the competition has more ram, weighs less, more HD space and is $50 or so less!?
Yes I know it's IBM and they're built like tanks...but come on...if it's $50 more at least MATCH the specs!
have this one and eeepc
lenovo feels more like a real computer and is thinner
ram upgrade takes less than three minutes to two gb cost 32 bucks for 2gb chip
Acer has 512k more RAM - no biggie, will upgrade to 2GB anyway.
Acer weighs 0.3 lbs less - can I really tell?
Acer has 120GB vs. 80GB - this is going to be a dedicated web surfer, space isn't that important.
The Lenovo has a 10" screen while the Acer is 9". Just like with life, every inch counts!
lenovo is not IBM. I wonder how much longer they can fool people into thinking their products are of the same quality.
ok, i haven't had my coffee yet...but wouldn't this be $379 shipped?
is there any way to not get the red one or the white one?
I have this and the EEE. and compared to the ACER.
the s10 looks MUCH nicer and is thin and sexy. with smooth feel to it.
but for the price and lower specs. it's ahard buy.
I'm going to wait for one with bluetooth and 6 cell battery
This one looks better than acer. I guess it's the mac of netbook. lol.
This is a great little computer. It is thin, light and sexy with 10" screen. Accer is 8.9" and the eee 1000H is bigger and 3.2lbs.
#8 Campustown,
Lenovo manufactured all the IBM thinkpad line. So, the quality is the same as before. Just without the IBM logo on it. I can't say the same about their lower end line.
+1 for the Asus
Serious question - Is a slightly larger screen (of this model) worth passing up twice as much memory and twice as much HD and slightly lower weight of the Acer Aspire ONE A150 for the same price?
I am no fan of Asus. Last time, I bought one and it arrived with screen damage. I returned and got a new one from another company and again the screen was damaged. I went through hell to get the money back because both the sell and Asus refuse to take responsibility.
I do like asus, but the lenovo looks like a deal to me. I do not care about hard drive too much on a netbook and I can add the ram myself.
ACER Aspire One ($399) = 1+ build quality, but more RAM (1GB) and HDD (160). 6 cell battery.
Lenovo S10 (399) = 4+ build quality, less RAM (512), less HDD (80gb). 3 cell battery
MSI Wind (470) = 3+ build quality, more RAM (1GB), HDD (80gb). 6 cell battery
ASUS EEEpc 1000 (430) = 2+ build quality, more RAM (1Gb), HDD (160GB). 6 cell battery.
Dell E (399)= 3+ build quality, less RAM, smallest SSD (8gb). 3 cell battery.
The code is for 5% off
looks like Black White and Red are available
