would this work better for tablets? seems like it would be an awkward position for a laptop
It's adjustable. It should be good for laptops.
My experience has not been so great...the adjustable "drawer" on the bottom does not lock properly, so the whole thing tends to slide out, potentially dropping the laptop on the floor (fortunately I caught mine ahead of time). I did find it awkward to use my laptop for the proper setting (it's an Alienware 11"), it set up too high to utilize the keyboard, but with the drawer all the way out it worked a little better....except for the sliding on the floor part. I bought it at $7, and I consider it $7 wasted.
I am not crazy about our work issued Lenovo's. I can't stand the buttons above the touch pad.
