I actually have this, and it works fine for what it is. You put it together, place your laptop on it, and there you go--it's that simple. It does what it is supposed to do, not sure what the grief is about concerning the first two posters. It is plastic, not metal or wood, thus, it could be considered a bit flimsy, however, I find that it works great to prop my 15" laptop up on an 8" wide shelf on top of my computer workstation. For $7, I doubt you could make one yourself any cheaper, and the stand is configurable in terms of how far the bottom lip slides in/out to handle different sized laptops. Worth $7 in my book.
Don't waste your $7....this is a piece of junk.
Waste of space.
